Burston Garden Centre

As an essential retailer confirmed by the Government announcement on 4th January 2021, our retail areas remain open with our additional safety measures. The new lockdown restrictions prohibit mixing between households indoors and we ask that all our visitors follow these rules. Where possible, please shop on your own.

All visitors to the centre (with the exception for those who may have a special exemption) are required to wear a face covering or face mask for the duration of their visit and to maintain two metres social distancing at all times from our staff and other customers.

The garden centre opening hours are:

9.00am – 6.00pm Monday – Saturday (9.00am-5.00pm January & February)
10.30am – 4.30pm on Sunday
(Please note that if it is busy we may close the queue approximately half an hour before the centre shuts)

Our toilets will remain open, however, the restaurant will remain closed until further notice. We’ll let you know as soon as we’re going to re-open via our website and social media.

Please see the list below for an overview of these temporary changes.

  • The children’s play areas are both closed

  • Our outdoor seating area is open (weather permitting)

  • Delivery is available

  • The gift wrap service is currently not available

We have been working hard to re arrange the store and implement the required changes to keep both our customers and staff safe.

We are glad to welcome you back however we would appreciate it if you please consider the following restrictions and only visit the store to purchase goods.

  • Revised opening hours. Mon-Sat 9-6  Sun 10.30-4.30

  • Only one individual per household to enter, with a maximum of four people in the centre at anyone time.

  • We will be conducting a one in one out policy so queueing may be required

  • Social distancing measures are in place, please follow any instructions from signage or staff members

  • We are now selling livestock, however there is still restricted access to these areas.

  • At this time we have suspended water and equipment testing services.

We apologise for these restrictions and hope to reduce them in the coming weeks.

Some Things to Consider

  • Please do not enter the garden centre if you or anyone in your household has symptoms of Covid-19

  • In line with Government guidelines it is mandatory to wear a facecovering in all areas of the centre, including all outdoor areas.

  • We will be limiting the amount of people coming into the garden centre at busy times. Please be aware that this may result in queueing outside for a considerable period of time, please bring an umbrella in case it is raining.

  • Please be mindful of others and shop efficiently to minimise queue times

  • Floor markings are in place to ensure social distancing – please adhere to them at all times

  • Our preferred method of payment is contactless (new £45 limit) or card transaction

  • Sanitising stations will be dotted around the store for you to use on trolley or wheelchair handles before use

  • We may limit the number of people form each household at busy times

  • Children must be with an adult at all times

  • Please respect the social distancing measures in place and stay 2m away from all staff and other members of the public

  • Our staff will be very happy (as always) to help you with any enquiry you may have but have been instructed to be concise in their answers to your questions in order to keep contact with others to a minimum

We look forward to welcoming you back to Burston.

Please continue to stay safe and thank you once again, for your understanding, continued support and loyalty.
